The Great Scavenger Hunt of 2011!!!!

Ok, maybe not the greatest, but still, pretty fun. We decided to make the trip more interesting, we'd ask you, our 10 fans, to give us a list of things to take pictures of or with. The list was pretty interesting.. but we got most of them. So, without further ado.... Our Scavenger Hunt..

1. With the police....



Ok, we cheated on this one.. ;) We did see a super cute cop in SA, but we didn't think about taking a pic at that moment. The other cops we saw down there didn't look like they were in the mood for silliness! ;) There were thousands of "happy" people walking around after all... So, once we got back into town, we just grabbed Lynn's husband Scott. He's a cop and the request wasn't specific.... I'm a little delirious from exhaustion, as you can see... lol

5. Easter Bunny... We actually got two of these. ;)

8. Someone dancing.... Ok, I don't think any one of us actually registered this as an item... we just over looked it... LOL

9. A picture with someone with a Tom Selleck mustache.... How 'bout a picture with TOM SELLECK... ;)



10. Pink hair/Mohawk.... I took a picture of a guy with a mohawk and I *think* he had pink hair too, but it's not on my camera... Shannon, is it on yours?

11. Snow...



12. Taking a picture with your phone of someone taking a picture with their phone.... I think we may have misunderstood this one, but it is what it is...





13. Dopplegangers.... We've decided this is an on going challenge. We were not going to be able to find our dopplegangers in one weekend... but we are on the lookout!! ;)

14. Phonebooth/Payphone... This is almost impossible to find anymore... we had no luck, but we're still looking....

15. Something with dots....

17. A car packed to the top with people... We took a little creative license here... ;)



18. Man in a thong... maybe if we had actually watched the parade, we'd have seen this....

And there it is folks... our first scavenger hunt. Fact is, we'll do pretty much anything (within reason... we aren't going to kill your wife for you or anything like that.... unless you're Donnie Wahlberg, then well..), so keep the requests coming!!! ;)

Road Trip!!!!

We finally did something we've talked about for a while.... we went on a girl's trip!  We didn't go far, just to San Antonio, but it was still so fun.  Of course, we can pretty much have fun anywhere, but it was good to do so 300 miles away from home. ;)

We spent the first night at my mother-in-law's house. We went into SA the next morning, beating the Fiesta crowds. Once checked-in to the hotel, we set out to explore the city... (read that as find a good happy hour...)



Of course, we had to Remember the Alamo....



Then we got our drink on....



These drinks were so, so strong.... OMG...



We ate alligator... yes, Shannon who is SUPER picky ate it too.... ;)

Strong drinks made us all happy....





Shannon may have been a litte.. um.. too happy.....



Now that we were quite... happy.... we thought, "Shopping sounds like a good idea!!!" So, off to the mall we went....



This was also about the time we thought, "Let's ask people to send us on a scavenger hunt!!! That'd be SO FUN!!!!!" That blog post will be next.... ;)

We finished shopping, headed back to the hotel, where I slipped on a leaking ice machine and busted my ass..... but luckily I was still so "happy" I didn't care too much.. ;)

They were doing a night parade for Fiesta, but we only saw it briefly...



We did get all boobied dressed up and head out for dinner...









Then a lovely breakfast on the river the next morning! :)



This isn't a very funny post, but it is what it is. At least you get good boobage... Don't be greedy people!

Jerk Driver: The movie (bad language ahead)

Sometimes when driving (well, always really) I get irritated at the way people can be so darn "Road Rude". Now I too get the occasional bouts of road rage, but only with good reason. When you are in a 60mph zone and someone is doing 40....well that is good reason to get upset. But when you are in a 60 and people are doing 60, but you just decide that YOU are more important and will just ride the rear of the car in front of you to let them know how far superior you are, well then my friend....you end up here.

So I present "Jerk Driver".

Dina, this one's for you...

Because we know how much you love.... creepy dolls... ;)

While out for lunch Tuesday, Shannon and I, (you know, I think we should refer to ourselves in the 3rd person...), Amy and Shannon popped into Antiqueland in Plano.  While they both love antiques, antique dolls are freakin' creepy!!  I mean, really...why would someone think doll heads are a good idea...

This one just made us laugh inappropriately in front of all the old ladies having tea there...

This doll reminds Amy of someone, but she's not sure who... hopefully not one of her kids...



Seriously, this one is going to give you nightmares... this doll is pure evil. And $195, are they as crazy as the doll?!




This is not the first time Shannon has taken notice of creepy dolls...

This is an example of a conversation that we might have. It is pieced together from actual things we have talked about. We warned you....it's scary in here.

And so, it begins...

So, Shannon and I were thinking, "We're funny, we should write a blog." Of course, we didn't come to this conclusion directly. Like every.thing with us, we find ourselves in the most random situations, conversations and trains of thought.

For example, earlier, we were meeting our friend, Hani, for lunch at Olive Garden. While waiting, we were seated on the same side of the booth, with an empty chair and a sling for Caroline's baby carrier. It was fine, at first... then it got to be, um, awkward. I mean, were sitting in a booth, side by side, both Facebooking on our phones, of course, to ignore the awkwardness... I even took a picture... See, I'm a little uncomfortable...

So, then, we start joking that maybe we should just start talking to our imaginary friend and her imaginary baby. I even took a picture of that...

We were relieved of the odd situation by the arrival of Hani and sweet Caroline, so no worries, friends...

The rest of the lunch went a little something like this.

- We have a funny waiter, this should be a fun lunch!

- We've been here 15 minutes, I guess we should stop talking and look at the menu....

- Ok, funny waiter, you don't ask a group of women how old they are just because they mention they watch Jersey Shore...

- Wait, now you're telling us how to speak Italian, not so funny waiter?

- We should all speak with accents. Everywhere we go, just speak with accents...

- You're back again, even less funny waiter, oh and your helper just dropped my chicken... yay.

- No, Shannon and Hani, you guys eat, I'll watch... ;)

- Yay for food (and it's free? Then I'll have dessert!)

- What, Shannon, you want to learn Cockney? That's a terrific idea! You can totally pull that off...

- Oh, hi, not even a little funny waiter, what, there's a Wiki page all about learning Cockney? How do you know this stuff?

So, that's how we got here... sort of... I mean, Shannon's learning Cockney (she just likes saying Cockney...) and we are writing a blog because our lives are so random, people need to read about it over morning coffee...
